It is stated that:- “Duniya mein do tarah ke log hote hain. Ek jo sab kuch saamne hi bol dete hain aur doosre jo sab dil mein rakhte hain.”
Translation: (There are two types of people in this world. One who says everything on face and others who keep everything to themselves and share less upfront.)
People usually judge others based on their nature.
Some people are very vocal about their feelings, their opinion, their requirements. They tend to even appreciate or criticize everyone on their face. People often consider this type as the ones who speak their minds.
On the other hand, some people keep things to themselves. They are not vocal and comment on anything unless if required.
They believe in observing more than expressing.
The two characteristics could be defined as Introvert and Extrovert.
So, who do you think is correct: An Introvert or an Extrovert. Well, let’s start knowing about the two characteristics in detail. We will get back to this question sometime.
Understanding Introvert and Extrovert
According to Attn.com,
Introverts gravitate towards their inner lives and Extroverts are more interested in the outside world.
According to Scott Barry Kaufman, a psychologist and the scientific director of the Imagination Institute-: An extroverted brain’s dopamine reward system responds more actively than an introverted brain’s to rewards such as money, sex, social status, and social affiliation.
Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate rewards and pleasures in the brain.
This may explain why an extrovert shows more excitement in a social setting than an introvert.
Introverts are thought as anti-social. But they have their own pace of socializing.
They tend to be shy but if they are comfortable with someone they communicate freely.
They have a deeper sense of observing. And, thus it takes great effort for them to open up in the zone.
Professional Choices for Introverts and Extroverts
Introverts have an excellent analytical mind.
They make an excellent career in professions like Developers, Painters, Designers, Writers, Counselors, Researchers.
Extroverts are out-spoken, fearless and are risk-takers in life.
They can be in a profession like leaders, business persons, Event Planners, Salespeople, Orators, Financial Advisers.
Even though we typecast humans’ efficiency according to their nature, behavior, characteristics but we should never underestimate the power of adaptability.
People change a lot as per the circumstances. Time can teach anyone to adapt to any kind of behavior under any circumstance.
People who are introvert/extrovert from starting need not be introvert throughout his/her life. They can imbibe any characteristics as per their need.
According to my opinion, it is always a cost-benefit analysis. People believe that if they stick to any one characteristic over a period of time, they may draw success in life.
The moment they think that adopting a second behavior would benefit them, they switch to the other party gradually.
Well, what is your opinion about this topic? Who do you think is correct? Which character we must adopt?
